Vince Taormina will be teaching Business Law & Management to MBA students at Washington University's Olin Business School
I am thrilled to announce that this Fall Semester, I will be teaching Business Law & Management to MBA students at Washington University's Olin Business School. Each Thursday night from 6:15 to 9:15, I will help full-time and professional MBA students navigate the intersection between business and law.
After a brief foray into fundamental legal concepts like constitutional law, criminal law, torts, and property, we will focus on contracts. More specifically, we will learn about contract formation and enforcement, breach of contractual obligations, and damages. Although the class is late and the material is relatively dense (it is essentially a condensed version of the first-year fundamental classes they teach in law school), I hope to bring to the students what I bring to my clients: A collaborative experience aimed at helping them to understand how the law affects their lives.
I am really excited about this opportunity. In my practice, I focus a lot on educating my clients so that they have a clear picture of exactly what it is that we are doing. Having met with hundreds of clients in just under three years, I have honed my craft and knack for educating non-lawyers on complicated legal concepts and techniques. Now I get to test those skills in the classroom, something I have always wanted to do. And what better place to do that than at Washington University, one of the top schools in the country!
Because this class will require significant prep time, please note that I will not be taking client meetings after 1 on Thursdays.
